1945 Bestilt som HMS LOCH GLASHAN bestilt av britiske Royal Navy ved Smith’s Dock Co. Ltd som bygg nummer 1135. Dette var den første kontrakt som ble en hvalbåt i sivil tjeneste i stedet for et marinefartøy etter krigen fra Smith’s Dock’s beddinger.
Bygget som hvalbåt SOUTHERN STRIFE av Smith’s Dock Co. Ltd., Middlesbrough for South Georgia Co Ltd. (Chr. Salvesen & Co.), Leith. Sjøsatt 09/07 og overlevert i august.
Søsterskip av SOUTHERN TRUCE, (neste byggenummer 1136), SOUTHERN WHEELER b.nr. 1139, SOUTHERN WILCOX b.nr. 1140, SOUTHERN SAILOR b.nr. 1141 og SOUTHERN SOLDIER b.nr. 1142.
SOUTHERN STRIFE fanget sin første sesong, 1945/46 for Fl/k EMPIRE VENTURE (ex WIKINGER, VIKINGEN) samt for landstasjonen Leith Harbour, Syd Georgia
1946 Fanget vekselvis for selskapets kokerier og for Leith Harbour.
1947 I fangst som fangstbåt for Leith Harbour, South Georgia og selskapets kokerier fra 1947/48. Skytter var Oscar Karlsen, Råde.
1948 I fangst som fangstbåt sesongen 1948/49. Skytter var Thor Hansen, Nøtterøy by Tønsberg.
1949 I fangst som fangstbåt for Leith Harbour, South Georgia and the company’s factory ships from 1949/50. Skytter var Oscar Karlsen, Råde.
1952 I fangst som bøyebåt season 1952/53. Skytter var Johan J. Stene, Onsøy.
1953 I fangst som bøyebåt sesongen 1953/54. Skytter var Egil Abrahamsen, Nøtterøy by Tønsberg.
1954 I fangst som bøyebåt sesongen 1954/55. Skytter var Øivind Andersen, Onsøy
1955 I fangst som bøyebåt for Fl/F SOUTHERN VENTURER in her last active Antarctic season, 1955/56. Skytter var Ivar Jensen, Råde.
1956 I opplag i Leith Harbour, Syd-Georgia. Senere tatt til Melsomvik ved Tønsberg og lagt i opplag der.
1964 Etter langvarig opplag solgt i april for kr. 145.000,- til Atlantic Diesel A/S. Omdøpt GOLTASTEIN og registrert i merkeregisteret som O-1-O.
Videresolgt til bergensfiskere, muligens samme år, (H-4-S)
1966 Solgt til P/R Goltastein. Ombygget til snurper ved Karmøy mek. Verksted og erstattet fremdrift med en 1943 mod. 16 sylindret V-motor på 1.400 BHK bygget av General Motors Corp., Cleveland Ohio, USA, som ga toppfart på 16,0 knop.
I tillegg et nytt kystradiosamband. En SIMRAD type TR2, mellombølge og kortbølge (high frequency) sender/mottaker. Godkjent for fiskefartøyer som opererte mer enn 200 n.m. fra land.
Fartøy navn uendret. Innført i merkeregisteret som H-200-S
1970 Forlenget med 14 fot. Ny måling: 162 fot / 492 brt.
1978 Nytt maskineri installert: 9 sylindret diesel bygget av Bergen mek. Verksted, Bergen
1989 Kondemnert og senket med hensikt.
1945 Ordered as HMS LOCH GLASHAN by the British Royal Navy at Smith's Dock Co. Ltd as building number 1135. This was the first contract that became a whale catcher in civilian service instead of a naval vessel after the war from Smith's Dock's berths.

1956 Laid-up at Leith Harbour. Later taken back to the to the layup buoys at Melsomvik in Norway.
1964 After laid up for several years, sold in April for NOK 145.000,- to Atlantic Diesel A/S, Norway and renamed GOLTASTEIN with Oslo fishery reg. no. O-1-O.
Sold same year to a fishery company in Bergen. Name unchanged but re-numbered H-4-S
1966 Sold to P/R Goltastein, Norway. Converted to motor seiner by Karmøy mek. Verksted. Replaced steam engine with a 1943 mod. 16-cyl. / 1.400 BHP diesel engine made by General Motors Corp., Cleveland Ohio USA which gave a top speed of 16 knots. At same time had a new coastal radio connection installed. A SIMRAD type TR2, medium wave and short wave (high frequency) transmitter/receiver. Approved for fishing vessels operating more than 200 n.m. from land. Vessel name unchanged. Fishing number changed to H-200-S
1970 Extended by 14 feet. Now: Loa. 162’/492 grt.
1978 Fitted new 9-cyl. engine made by Bergen Mek. Verksted, Bergen Norway.
1989 Scuttled on purpose.
