First whaler built by A/S Stord Verft. Launched 08/05, delivered 08/10. Named by Mrs. Andersen. Building costs NOK 3.532.929,02.Caught for Fl/f NORHVAL.1961/62 Last season.1962 Laid up.1965 Sold in September for NOK 300.000 to Forsvarets Forskningsinstitutt (c/o Erik Børresen, Oslo), Bergen.Converted to a research vessel according to standards from the military intelligence service by Mjellem & Karlsen A/S, Bergen.Steam engine and boiler removed. Diesel engine installed: type MaK, 4CY/SA, 8-cylinder, cyl. dim.: 320 x 450 mm. 1.400 BHP at 375 rpm. After a fire in the superstructure she will probably be broken up.
